Celebrating Akitu – Chaldean New Year 7326

It was a privilege to join hundreds of local families in Craigieburn to celebrate Akitu (Babylonian New Year), marking the Babylonian Chaldean New Year 7326. A proud occasion of culture, faith, and community spirit. 

I extend sincere thanks to the Australian Chaldean Federation, Chaldean League Melbourne, Vic Talk, and Upfield SC for their efforts in bringing this celebration to life. 

It was wonderful to see the strength of community and the pride in cultural heritage on display throughout the day.
