Kurdistan National Prayer Breakfast

Last month, I had the privilege of attending the inaugural Kurdistan National Prayer Breakfast in Erbil — a historic gathering of political, faith, and civil society leaders from around the world.
Through candid policy discussions and heartfelt reflections, we united in our commitment to promoting social cohesion, peace, human rights, and interfaith dialogue.
Visiting the Lalish Temple and hearing the powerful stories of Yazidi survival was deeply moving. Equally memorable were my visits to Alqosh and the Nineveh Plains.
I was honoured to engage with faith leaders including His Holiness Mar Awa III, Catholicos-Patriarch of the Holy Apostolic Catholic Assyrian Church of the East, and His Excellency Archbishop Bashar Matti Warda of the Chaldean Archdiocese of Erbil (ايبارشية اربيل الكلدانية) — both well known in our community. It was also a pleasure to be joined by Ayad Youkhanna and Vic. Talk - حديث فكتوريا.
Special thanks to Prime Minister Masrour Barzani and Minister Ano Abdoka for their leadership in hosting such a meaningful global event.
