Last Friday, I attended the extraordinary joint meeting of the Police Ministers Council and the Standing Council of Attorneys-General in my capacity as Acting Police Minister for Victoria, alongside the Victorian Attorney-General and Police Commissioner.
Convened in response to the horrific antisemitic terrorist attack in Bondi, the meeting focused on strengthening national cooperation—covering firearms reform, intelligence-led licensing, tighter import controls, and coordinated action against hate crime and online extremism.
Victoria remains committed to working closely with all jurisdictions to keep Australians safe, tackle antisemitism, and reinforce social cohesion.
