Recreational fishing is one of Victoria’s most popular outdoor activities, bringing families and friends together, supporting regional communities and contributing significantly to local economies across the state.

It was a pleasure to meet with the Hon. Bob Baldwin, Chair of the Australian Fishing Trade Association, Billy Parsons from JM Gillies, Steve Threlfall from Tackle World Australia and Victorian Fisheries Authority CEO Travis Dowling at Parliament this week to discuss the important role the fishing industry plays in supporting Victoria’s vibrant recreational fishing sector.
