St Thomas’ Syro Malabar Church

I was honoured to represent the Premier at the consecration of the new St Thomas' Syro Malabar Parish Church in Melbourne’s South East. 

With over 3,000 people in attendance — and many more joining online from around the world — it was a joyous celebration of faith, culture, and community. 

It was a privilege to stand alongside His Beatitude Mar Raphael Thattil, Bishop Panamthottathil, Bishop Puthur, Fr Francis Kollencherry, clergy, volunteers, parishioners, and my colleagues Lee Tarlamis MP and Mark Dreyfus MP. 

Congratulations to the Syro-Malabar community in Victoria and everyone who helped bring this remarkable project to life. May this new church continue to inspire and unite generations to come.
