A new year means new opportunities. Starting today, newly recruited prison officers at the state-of-the-art Western Plains Correctional Centre, near Geelong, are eligible for an $8,000 sign-on bonus. 

The facility is set to begin operations in mid-2025, offering a chance to join a dedicated team supporting community safety. 

Corrections staff come from a wide variety of backgrounds — like Geelong local Corey, who transitioned from hospitality to a rewarding career in Corrections.
