Assyrian New Year 2025

1 April 2025 | 1 min read

It was an honour to represent the Victorian Government at the Assyrian New Year celebrations in Craigieburn last weekend—marking over 6,700 years of the enduring spirit, cultural pride, and rich heritage of the Assyrian community.

A heartfelt thank you to the Assyrian New Year Festival - Melbourne and the Australian Assyrian Arts and Literature Foundation for their outstanding efforts in organising such a vibrant festival. Gratitude also to the Assyrian Church of the East – Diocese of Victoria and New Zealand and the Syriac Catholic Church in Melbourne for their continued leadership and support.

Wishing everyone a joyful and prosperous new year — ܚܕ ܫܢܬܐ ܛܒܐ
