A strong agricultural sector relies on strong biosecurity — and saleyards like Bendigo play a critical role in maintaining those standards.

The Bendigo Livestock Exchange is one of Victoria’s largest saleyards, with around 1 million sheep and lambs sold through the facility each year.

That’s why the Victorian Budget 2026/27 is investing in upgrades to help keep the Exchange modern, efficient and ready to support the growing volume and value of livestock trading across the state.
