The Victorian Budget 2026/27 is investing $5 million to extend the Go Fishing Victoria program!

This means 10 million more fish will be released into Victorian waterways over the next year, more than every other state and territory combined.

I was delighted to commemorate this announcement at Kennington Reservoir in Bendigo with Victorian Fisheries Authority CEO Travis Dowling, and representatives from VRFish, Bendigo Legion Angling Club and Bendigo & District Fly Fishers.

Fishing brings families together and boosts regional economies.

A day at the lake remains an affordable, memorable and magical experience for all Victorians.
