We’re making exciting progress on the Fitzroy Gasworks redevelopment, unlocking land to deliver more housing options in Melbourne’s inner north. 

Yesterday, I joined Premier Jacinta Allan, Minister Colin Brooks, and Minister Sonya Kilkenny to announce the next steps in transforming this site into a vibrant new neighbourhood. 

Once complete, Fitzroy Gasworks will offer over 1,000 diverse and affordable homes, giving more Victorians the opportunity to rent or buy closer to where they work, study, and spend time with family and friends. 

This community will be built around strong foundations — including access to public transport, a new senior high school, open green spaces, sporting facilities, and local businesses. 

Because every Victorian deserves a safe, affordable place to call home.
