Gowrie Broadmeadows Valley

It was a pleasure to join Member for Broadmeadows Kathleen Matthews-Ward MP at Gowrie Victoria’s Broadmeadows Valley Early Learning Centre and see firsthand how new and upgraded facilities are supporting local children, families and educators.

With support from the Victorian Government, the centre has delivered two additional kindergarten rooms and a new outdoor learning area, helping create more places for local families.

This builds on an $835,067 Building Blocks Improvement Grant, which supported upgrades to the centre’s internal learning spaces and helped create a modern and welcoming environment for children to learn and grow.

During the visit, we also had the opportunity to recognise Centre Manager Michelle Gujer with a Community Achievement Award for her outstanding contribution to the local community.

Thank you to Gowrie Victoria CEO Karen Weston, Michelle and the entire team for welcoming us and for the important work they do every day to give children in Melbourne’s north the best possible start in life.
