Supporting Farmers Through Fire Recovery

26 February 2026 | 1 min read

Victorians have always come together in times of need, and I thank Corrections Victoria for their support of farmers affected by fires this summer—providing livestock feed and valuable on-the-ground assistance.

At Langi Kal Kal Prison, more than 60 hay bales have been donated to Stoneleigh. Prisoners at the minimum-security facility played a hands-on role in growing, cutting, raking, and baling the hay onsite—demonstrating the positive impact of practical, community-focused initiatives.

By delivering support where it’s needed most, we are helping farmers recover more quickly while strengthening the partnerships that regional Victorians rely on.
